Description
The module allows to exchange data between systems that use the most popular voltages levels: 5 V and 3.3 V and 1.8 V and 2.8 V. Works in both directions simultaneously. Reduces the 5 V to 3.3 V and rises 3.3 V to 5 V, at the same time. This function is useful in bidirectional communication protocols, for example, the SPI in full duplex mode. The converter operates with lower voltages: 2.8 V and 1.8 V. It has four channels.
Leads are the soldering fields solders for soldering the goldpin connectors(2.54 mm pitch). Thanks to them, it is possible to connect the system with thebreadboardor with the main module (for example,STM32DiscoveryorArduino) viawires. The size of the converter is 16.1 x 13 mm. The set does not containgoldpin connectors, you can purchase them separately.
The manufacturer provides the design filesin GitHubandmanualdescribing the way of connecting converter. |
Example of usage
Converter is easy to use, for correct operation, it is sufficient to connect the power supply of two systems that will be converted. A higher voltage (e.g. 5 V) connect to the lead HV (high voltage), lower ( e.g., 3.3 V, 2.8 V and 1.8 V) to LV (low voltage). Masses are connected to the terminals marked GND. Logical signals should be led to the corresponding terminals HV1, HV2, HV3, HV4 - higher voltages and, respectively LV1, LV2, LV3, LV4 - lower voltages.
