The BME280 sensor is one of the best sensors on the market, although it is not without its drawbacks, the most important of which are: a) very complicated calculations that need to be done to convert raw readings into final results, b) lack of series keeping by the manufacturer with different results of sensors of the same type or similar (BMP), exceeding the assumed measurement error, c) low resistance to electromagnetic and/or electrical interference, especially in the case of atmospheric pressure and temperature. However, despite the disadvantages described above, the sensor still stands out positively from the competition in terms of (after all) measurement accuracy, including out-of-range operation from the official data sheet. Low power consumption allows it to be used in battery-powered devices.

Everything is fine, tested on the I2C bus with Tinycontrol LAN controller LK3.

Everything is ok. For buyers. Do not confuse BME280 with BMP280.

The BME280 sensor module is a clever design with such low power consumption that it can be powered from any RaspberryPi pin set to high. In the event that we do not use ready-made libraries and drivers, we can correct the temperature, pressure and humidity indications by calibrating individually for each unit, unfortunately, but it is possible, as I had the opportunity to see. Greetings to all BME280 fans!

Very easy to use, works reliably

One of the best sensors for temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure. Unfortunately, it is not without flaws. In particular, it is susceptible to interference caused by the activity of the WiFi module in the Raspberry Pi. The probable cause of the interference are voltage drops (including ground noise) generated during WiFi activity or voltage induction caused by the same module. As a result, there are occasional communication errors or reading pins, e.g. there is a sudden jump in temperature by 20 degrees and then returns to normal.

Works great, measures

The sensor measures temperature, humidity and pressure with reasonable accuracy. There are never any parameter jumps. Works with Arduino and Raspberry. I recommend
