Product description: DFRobot Mega 2560 v3.3 - compatible with Arduino

DFRduino is fully compatible with the popularArduino Mega 2560 R3module. It means that it can be programmed throughArduino IDE environmentusing available libraries. Overlays, so calledArduino Shieldwill also work with DFRobot module.

The board contains an ATmega 2560 microcontroller, equipped with 54 digital inputs/outputs, of which 15 can be used as PWM outputs (e.g. for controlling motors) and 16 as analogue inputs. The circuit is clocked with a 16 MHz clock signal. The module also has: USB connector, DC power supply socket, RESET button and outputs for connectingthe AVR programmer.

DFRobot has introduced colorful connectors for easy identification of the outputs:

  • red- power pins,
  • blue- analog pins,
  • green- digital pins.

In order to run DFRduino, you have to connect the chip with the computer using USB cable and selecttheArduino MegaboardinArduino IDE environment.

 

Power supply

The module can be powered via theUSB cable andan external device, e.g. mains adapter, battery or rechargeable battery. The power supply is switched automatically. The power supply is connected to a standard DC socket. The battery or other source is connected to the POWER connector pins.

Programming

Creation and installation of softwareenables freeArduino IDEenvironment. Implemented bootloader allows you to upload program directly viaUSB cable.ISCP connector allows to connect externalAVR programmer. Detailed description can be found indocumentation and tutorial.
