The ACS724 module from Pololu is an advanced current sensor designed by Allegro Microsystems that uses the Hall effect to precisely measure current. The carrier board is compact (17.8 x 20.3 mm) and allows the sensor to be easily incorporated into a variety of electrical circuits , for both low-current and high-current applications. This sensor offers bidirectional current measurement in the range from -5 A to 5 A with a sensitivity of 400 mV/A . 120 kHz high bandwidth analog output provides fast and accurate AC and DC current readings.

Current sensor pins
- IP+ (Positive Current Input): Designed to connect to the positive side of a circuit that has current flowing through it for monitoring.
- IP- (Negative Current Input): Designed to connect to the negative side of a circuit through which current is flowing in order to monitor it.
- VCC (logic power supply): used to provide the supply voltage for the current sensor measurement system. The supply voltage should be between 4.5V and 5.5V.
- OUT: pin from which the analog voltage corresponding to the measured current is read. This signal can be further processed or used to directly monitor the current.
- GND: system ground.
