A self-diagnostic system signals sensor damage and the end of its lifespan, and each unit is tested in a specialized chamber and certified to correctly detect carbon monoxide concentrations of 300 ppm in under 3 minutes.

How does the CTG-02 carbon monoxide and gas sensor work?
The Zamel CTG-02 sensor combines an electrochemical sensor to detect carbon monoxide and a semiconductor sensor to detect flammable gases. The device continuously analyzes air composition and, upon detecting a dangerous gas concentration, triggers an acoustic and visual alarm . The carbon monoxide trigger threshold complies with the PN-EN50291-1:2018 standard, which means it responds at concentrations of 30 ppm, 100 ppm, and 300 ppm within specific time intervals. For natural gas and propane-butane, the sensor responds when a level corresponding to 10% LEL is exceeded. The LCD display informs about the current concentration and type of detected gas, and the self-diagnostic system monitors the correct operation of the entire device.
The sensor is used to monitor the concentration of both carbon monoxide and natural gas as well as propane-butane in the air.
The sensor has an emergency battery power supply (CR17450) in the event of a mains power failure.
