Product description: LattePanda Alpha 800s - 8GB RAM Intel Dual Core WiFi Bluetooth + Arduino Leonardo
LattePanda Alpha Minicomputer equipped with IntelM3-8100ydual-core processorwithArduino Leonardo-based coprocessor. The module has50 GPIO pins, including I2C, I2S, USB, RS232, UART, RTC, as well as 8 GB of RAMand the possibility ofmounting an external memory in the form of M.2 disk ormicroSDcard. Equipped with WiFi and Bluetooth. The board is also equipped with HDMI, Ethernet and 3.5 mm audio. The device is also equipped withIntel HD Graphics 615. The manufacturer has mounted on the board a powerfulfan foractive cooling of the minicomputer.
What do you need to launch LattePanda?
- USB Type C power supply - the official 45W power supply is included.
- HDMI cable - to connect a minicomputer with a monitor.
- Keyboard and mouse - to control and enter data into the device.
- Operating system, e.g. Windows 10 - check how to install it in theuserguide.
First start-up of LattePanda Alpha
For the LattePanda Alpha 800s minicomputer, the system must be installed on an external data carrier. Once the system is installed, it is very easy to start up:
- Connect a WiFi antenna to the socket.
- Connect the HDMI cable to the monitor.
- Then connect the power supply to the USB type C port using the included power supply.
- You will see a flashing red and blue LED. When the red LED stops flashing, press and hold the power button for approx. 3 s, the device will start up.
We also offer a dedicatedcase for LattePandaAlpha / Detla.
Operating system
LattePanda Alpha 800s does not have built-in eMMC memory, the operating system must be installed on an external storage medium such as an M.2 M-key NVMe or SATA SSD. The minicomputer works with Windows 10 and other versions, Linux, Android x86 (Phoenix OS) and Hackintosh (MacOS).
Image and sound
The LattePanda has anHDMI connectionthrough which both video and audio can be transmitted. The minicomputer has an integrated Intel HD Graphics card.
The minicomputer is connected to a monitor. We also offer a dedicatedscreen for LattePandaAlpha / Delta.
Power supply for LattePanda Alpha
For power supply, you can use the official 45 W PD power supply included in the kit or an external Power Bank PD, as well as a Li-Pol 3 or 4 cell battery from 10 V to 15 V using the JST 4-pin 2 mm raster connector. Standard power supply is 12 V / 3 A.
LattePanda Alpha mini-computer communication
LattePanda has basic communication interfaces that can be found in PC-class office computers. In addition to the previously mentioned audio and video interfaces, the user can also use them:
- three connectors: USB 3x USB 3.0 + 1x USB C supporting PD, DP, USB 3.0 - underwhich you can connect e.g. a mouse, a keyboard or a flash drive. If it turns out that there are too few sockets, you can increase their number usingan external USB HUB.
- Ethernet gigabit socket, i.e. the possibility of direct connection to a LAN with a speed of up to 1000 Mbps.
- WiFi module- allows for communication with 802.11 ac wireless network
- Bluetooth4.2module- enables data transmission via the popular interface
- GPIO- general purpose outputs/inputs that can be used to operate LEDs, buttons, motor controllers. 20 pins are controlled byAtmega32u4 coprocessorknown from Arduino Leonardo board.
Output of the LattePanda Alpha minicomputer.
Compatibility with Arduino
The minicomputer has an additional microcontroller Atmega32u4 - known from ArduinoLeonardoboard. This chip controls 20 digital outputs and interfaces for communication with modules and sensors such as: UART, I2C, SPI.
