Product description: 3D scanner - Creality Otter Lite
The Creality Otter Lite 3D Scanner is a modern device based on a binocular NIR structured light system , designed for precise color 3D data acquisition, both in studio and field settings. The system utilizes two sets of lenses – short and long focal length – allowing for scanning objects ranging from 20 x 20 x 20 mm to 2000 x 2000 x 2000 mm . With an accuracy of up to 0.05 mm and a resolution of 0.1 mm to 2 mm, the Otter Lite perfectly reproduces the geometry and texture of details, even on difficult surfaces (black or metallic). The 3D scanner operates wirelessly thanks to a WiFi 6 module and a built-in 3400 mAh battery , allowing for 3 hours of uninterrupted operation. The entire system is powered by professional CrealityScan 4.0 software, offering, among other things, marker modes, mesh processing, face scanning, and automatic error correction. The scanner works with Windows, macOS, and iOS and Android mobile devices.
Advanced NIR structured light technology
The Creality Otter Lite utilizes a binocular NIR (Near Infrared) structured light system , enabling highly accurate and stable scanning without the need for markers or sprays. Built-in lenses—one with a short and one with a long focal length —allow the scanner to automatically adjust its operating mode to the object's size. The scanner captures details with an accuracy of 0.05 mm , making it suitable for scanning both small technical models and large objects up to 2000 x 2000 x 2000 mm in size. It's a versatile solution for both reverse engineering and artistic creation.
Speed of action and smooth operation
Thanks to One-Shot 3D Imaging technology, Otter Lite ensures highly stable operation even in handheld mode, minimizing the risk of tracking loss. The device achieves scanning speeds of up to 30 frames per second (fps) , significantly accelerating 3D data acquisition for larger objects. In real-time scanning mode, you can view the results on your phone's screen in real time , allowing you to adjust exposure, pause and resume the scan, and quickly assess the quality of the model. The system is equipped with an IMU sensor , which supports the scanner's spatial orientation and improves the accuracy of scans in motion.
Color scanning and detail detection in difficult conditions
The Otter Lite 3D scanner offers full-color reproduction (24-bit RGB) thanks to its integrated million-pixel camera. Color and texture are processed by a dedicated mapping algorithm, which ensures realistic model textures. Two white LED lights enable operation in low light conditions. Importantly, it can scan black or metallic surfaces without spray , eliminating the need for time-consuming object preparation. The scanner easily captures elements such as tires, car bodies, and shiny or smooth objects.
Special modes - face and body scanning
Thanks to Face & Body Mode, Otter Lite can be used to precisely capture body shapes and facial features. A full-body scan takes approximately one minute, and the use of invisible near-infrared light makes the process eye-safe (laser class 1). The scanner can capture even difficult-to-recognize features like hair and beards. This is an ideal solution for the medical, fashion, gaming, and VR industries, as well as for digital human modeling specialists.
WiFi 6 wireless connectivity and data transfer performance
Creality Otter Lite supports WiFi 6 (AX6000) , offering transmission speeds of up to 4.7 Gbps and latency of 10 ms . Using a proprietary lossless compression algorithm, scan data is transmitted in real time to a computer or smartphone—no cables required. You can also choose a classic wired USB Type-C (USB 3.0 / 2.0) connection. The pogo-pin connector allows for quick, magnetic connection to the Lite Bridge —a holder with a built-in battery and charge indicator.
CrealityScan 4.0 - model editing and processing software
Otter Lite is operated using dedicated CrealityScan 4.0 software, available for Windows, macOS , and Android and iOS mobile devices. The program offers intuitive scan management: alignment modes (geometric, texture, marker), a mesh editor, multiple scan modes, and automatic error repair. It supports export to OBJ, STL, and PLY formats. The software is designed for both beginners and advanced users, offering step-by-step workflows, quick previews, and complete process control.
