The powerful electric actuator is designed for professional use. Robust and stable design and high reliability are the most important advantages of the FDI 4000N actuator. This allows us to use the actuator in applications with high mechanical load and adverse external conditions. The electric drive of the actuator is powered by 24 V DC and draws maximum current up to 3 A. Under rated conditions the actuator power is 50 W. The maximum mechanical load of the actuator is 4000 N, which approximately corresponds to a load weight of 400 kg. The actuator can be used in applications such as automatic gates and robotic machines for production processes. The actuator design is also equipped with limit switches. The maximum extension of the actuator arm is 600 m and the travel speed is 6 mm/s.
Operating principle and application examples of the FDI 4000N electric actuator
The design of the FDI 4000N is based on a slow-running DC electric motor that rotates the drive screw through a gearbox. The drive screw works with the actuator arm nut. The nut moves along the coils of the drive bolt, causing the arm to move. When the nut moves to one of its extreme positions, it presses the limit switch contact, causing the drive motor to shut down and stop the actuator. The FDI 4000N electric actuator is a device made according to the requirements of the internal protection degree IP42 - this allows the actuator to operate outdoors, even in a rain environment. Examples of applications for this actuator include automatic doors and gates, extension ladders, industrial robots and miniature cranes.
