The overlay is an adapter that allows conversion from a 16-pin 0.5 mm FPC connector to the M.2 standard, supporting the 2230 and 2242 formats for devices with an M key. The adapter can supply up to 3 A of current to connected M.2 devices. Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ is automatically detected by the latest Raspberry Pi software/firmware. The overlay is supplied with a 16 mm connector and spacers, so it can be used with active cooling of the Raspberry Pi (Active Cooler).
