Product description: RCWL-9620 ultrasonic distance sensor I/O - Unit extension module for M5Stack development modules
Unit series extension module - ultrasonic distance sensor, manufactured by M5Stack. The module is compatible with M5Stack Core, M5Atom and M5Stick development modules. It is equipped with the RCWL-9620 chip, allowing it to accurately measure distance and detect an obstacle in the range of 20 mm to 4500 mm. The measurement itself is determined with an accuracy of about 2%. Grove cables are used to connect the extension to the main modules. A dedicated connection cable with a length of 20 cm is included.
Special features of the sensor
- The RCWL-9620 I/O provides precise distance measurement from 2 cm to 450 cm with an accuracy of about 2%. When measuring greater than 350 cm there is a slight delay in data transmission
- Due to the wide 60 degree angle of view, the sensor can also detect objects that are not directly in front of it
- To determine the distance to an obstacle, the sensor measures the time between sending and receiving the pulse signal
- It is used in obstacle avoidance robots, distance measuring projects and object detection
- It is equipped with the RCWL-9620 chip
