Product description: VL53L1X time-of-flight distance sensor - STEMMA QT / Qwiic I2C - Adafruit 3967
Adafruit module with the VL53L1X time-of-flight distance sensor. The VL53L1X sensor allows distance measurements from 30 mm to 4000 mm with the precision of LIDAR sensors. The time-of-flight method measures the time from the emission of the infrared laser pulse to its return to the detector. It is independent of the light reflection from the object. The board is equipped with Qwiic / STEMMA QT connectors for seamless connection to the I2C interface of a microcontroller with the same connector. The module operates with a logic voltage of 3.3 V and 5 V, powered from 3 V to 5 V.
Terminals of the VL53L1X distance sensor module
The VL53L1X sensor module communicates with the microcontroller via I2C interface. The board is equipped with two Qwiic / STEMMA QT connectors for easy connection to a module with the same connector. Pinouts are:
- VIN - module power pin from 3 V to 5 V.
- GND - system ground.
- SCL - I2C interface clock line.
- SDA - I2C interface data line.
- GPIO - interrupt pin with 2.8 V output, can be read by 3.3 V and 5 V microcontrollers.
- XSHUT - disable pin, activated by low state, can be used with 3 V and 5 V logic.
