Product description: Arcade console builder kit for Raspberry Pi
The Arcade Console Building Kit for Raspberry Pi includes components for arcade games, such as buttons and a joystick. These types of devices are used in video game machines, as well as old-style consoles. They allow you to assemble your own single-player arcade console. The kit includes a zero latency control board that makes it very quick and easy to connect the Raspberry Pi via a USB cable.
The kit does not include the Raspberry Pi minicomputer, the board must be purchased separately.
The control board works with emulators such as MAME or RetroPie. Currently, the capabilities of these programs include not only emulators for various arcade machines, but also emulation of game systems such as Amiga, Atari, Commodore C64, Game Boy, SNES and many others.
All elements included in the set are characterized by high quality of materials used and production. The buttons are chromium plated and backlit by LEDs (included in the set). Microswitches used in buttons and joystick are very durable, their tested durability is up to 1,000,000 cycles.
