Description: Romeo BLE - Bluetooth 4.0 + driver engines - compatible with Arduino
Romeo BLE is fully compatible with the popular Arduino Uno module. This means that it can be programmed throughthe Arduino IDEusing available libraries. The so-calledArduino Shield will also be collaborating with the DFRobot module. In addition to the traditional features of the Arduino boards, it hass a BLE CC2540system which allows for communication via Bluetooth 4.0, dual-channel driver of 32V/2Aengines, power switch and many additional slots and leads.
The board contains an ATmega328 microcontroller, is equipped with 14 digital I/o, 6 of which can be used as PWM outputs (e.g. for motor control) and 8 as analog inputs. The system works with the clock signal with the frequency of 16 MHz. The module has also USB connector, screw power socket, RESET button, and the leads used to connect the AVR programmer.
The device has many additional features that do not exist in traditional Arduino boards:
- power switch- ON/OFF type of switch, allowing you to simply power off at any time
- BLE CC2540 moduleby Texas Instruments- a system that allows for communication and programming via Bluetooth at a distance of up to 70 m in open space
- 5 buttons, type tact-switch- at user's disposal
- voltage regulator- 5 V with maximum load current up to 2 A,
- L298 dual-channeldriver of motors- enables speed control of the direction of rotation of two DC motors with a current consumption up to 2 A.
DFRobot company introduced colored connectors that facilitate the identification of the leads:
- red- power pin,
- blue -analog pins,
- green- digital pins.
To start the module, you must connect the system to computer usingmicroUSB cableand choose inthe Arduino IDE, the Arduino Uno board. Detailed product description can be foundnd inthe user guide. |
Power
The module can be powered via microUSB cable and an external device, for example, the AC adapter, the battery or the rechargeable battery. Switching power sources is automatic. The power supply is connected to a standard DC connector. Rechargeable battery or other source should be connected to the pins of the POWER connector.
Programming
Creating and installing the software is allowed by the free environment of the Arduino IDE. Implemented bootloader allows you to send the program directly via microUSB cable. ISCP connector enables connection of an external AVR programmer.
