The D30V30F12 step-down converter from Pololu is a device that allows you to reduce the input voltage in the range from 12 V to 45 V to a constant output voltage of 12 V. The module can deliver a maximum continuous output current of up to 2.8 A with typical efficiency of 80% to 95% , depending on the input voltage and load. Thanks to the use of switching mode converter (SMPS) technology, the module is much more effective than traditional linear regulators , especially with large differences between the input and output voltage. The regulator has built-in reverse polarity protection up to 40 V, protection against low input voltage, protection against overcurrent and short circuit, as well as a thermal shutdown function. The D30V30F12 converter is equipped with a soft start function that limits the starting current and gradually increases the output voltage.
