The D30V30F9 step-down converter from Pololu converts an input voltage in the range of 9 V to 45 V to a constant output voltage of 9 V. This module can deliver a continuous output current of up to 2.9 A , with typical efficiency ranging from 80% to 95% , depending on the input voltage and load. Thanks to the switching mode converter (SMPS) technology, the module is much more efficient than traditional linear regulators , especially with large differences between the input and output voltage. The D30V30F9 has built-in protection against reverse polarity up to 40 V, input undervoltage, overcurrent and short circuit, as well as a thermal shutdown function. The module is equipped with a soft start function that limits the starting current and gradually increases the output voltage. Thanks to its compact dimensions (17.8 x 20.3 x 9 mm) and a breadboard-compatible pinout, the controller is easy to integrate into various projects.

  • VOUT - output voltage 9 V
  • GND - system ground
  • VIN - input voltage from 9 V to 45 V
  • EN - allows you to control the regulator's operation by setting it to low or high
  • PG - "Power Good" open-drain pin. Goes low when the regulator output voltage increases more than 7.5% above or drops more than 9% below the nominal voltage (with hysteresis). If this pin is used, a pull-up resistor must be connected.

The set includes a goldpin strip for self-soldering. Using it, you can plug the module directly into the contact plate .

Maximum continuous output current

The maximum output current achieved by the converter depends on the input voltage as well as other factors such as ambient temperature, air flow and heat absorption.
