Product description: D30V30MAS - step-down converter - 4.2 V - 15 V 3 A - Pololu 4875
D30V30MAS is one of the modules from the series of miniature voltage regulators from Pololu , based on a synchronized step-down converter . It allows to obtain an output voltage from 4.2 V to 7 V from an input in the range of 4.2 V to 45 V. The maximum continuous output current depends on the input voltage and thermal conditions and is 3 A. It also features a power saving mode and a "power good" indicator that indicates the stability of the output voltage. The compact size and standard pinout make it easy to integrate into prototypes and electronic devices.

Special Features
- Adjustable output voltage range - the ability to precisely adjust the output voltage from 4.2V to 15V using a rotary potentiometer, allowing you to tailor the voltage exactly to your application needs
- Maximum output current up to 3 A - the maximum current value depends on operating conditions, such as input voltage, output voltage and module cooling efficiency
- Wide input voltage range - from 4.2 V to 45 V, including dropout voltage, making the controller compatible with a variety of power sources, e.g. batteries, mains adapters or solar panels
- High efficiency - from 80% to 95%, which minimizes energy losses and reduces heating of the system, thus increasing reliability and battery life
- Soft-start function - limits the starting current and gradually increases the output voltage during start-up, preventing sudden voltage surges and protecting connected components
- Energy saving mode - automatic reduction of the switching frequency at low load, which improves the energy efficiency of the controller
Converter terminals
VOUT (Output Voltage) - regulator output, from which the stabilized output voltage is taken. In the photo, these are two pins marked as OUT and G (ground)
- GND (Ground) - the mass of the system, common for input and output, provides a reference for voltages and signals
- VIN (Input Voltage ) - input supply voltage in the range from 4.2 V to 45 V. This is where we connect the input voltage, which the regulator lowers
- EN (Enable) - input enabling switching the regulator on and off. Lowering the voltage below a specified threshold causes the output to be switched off and the regulator to go into low current consumption mode (shutdown). Raising the voltage above the threshold activates the output
- PG (Power Good) - an output signal that indicates the correct operation of the regulator and the stability of the output voltage. This is an open-drain output that requires a resistor to pull up to the supply voltage
- Output voltage potentiometer - precise, 11-turn potentiometer placed on the board, which allows for smooth adjustment of the output voltage in the range from 4.2 V to 15 V. By turning the potentiometer to the right, we increase the output voltage
