It is equipped with a quadrature encoder with a resolution of 64 pulses per revolution (after transmission of 8400 pulses per revolution). The 12-volt motor draws 150mA without load and 5.5A with the shaft stopped.

Encoder in the motor
A sensor based on the Hall effect detects pulses on a rotating magnetic disk at the back of the engine. Square encoders allow measurement with a resolution of 64 pulses per motor shaft revolution. After the gearbox, this is the right number of times more.
