High power motor with 172:1 gearing, 33 rpm, 12.2 kg*cm (1.19 Nm) torque. The device has a quadrature encoder with a resolution of 48 pulses per revolution (after translation 8246 pulses per revolution). The motor is fitted with an easy to remove encoder housing.

Encoders
Hall-effect sensors detect pulses on a rotating magnetic disk at the rear of the motor. Square encoders enable measurement with a resolution of 64 pulses per revolution of the motor shaft. After translation, this is the corresponding number of times more.

The figure shows the signal from both encoder channels. The B signal is phase shifted in relation to the A signal by 90 degrees.
