Product description: Badger 2040 W - board with RP2040 and 2.9'' e-paper screen 296 x 128 px included with accessories - PiMoroni PIM669
Badger 2040 W is an easy-to-use, programmable board that can be used, among other things, to display product prices, expand displays or as an identifier. It is battery-powered and when the screen is not refreshed it can enter sleep mode with very low power consumption. The board is equipped with an e-paper screen, which can also be found in e-book readers. These types of displays do not strain the eyes, making them ideal for reading long texts. E-paper screens consume a small amount of power and continue to display the last image when unplugged. There are 5 buttons on the front of the board, while on the other side you can find GPIO pins, JST battery connector, Qwiic / Stemma QT, USB type B and a reset button . Thanks to the Raspberry Pi equipment, Pico can wirelessly communicate with other devices and download data from the Internet.
The latest improvements to the Badger 2040 W board
- 2.4 GHz wireless connection
- Adding a built-in RTC real-time clock, so the badge can track time e.g. while sleeping and wake up using a timer or button
- The software now uses the internal PicoGraphics graphics library, making it much easier to transfer images to a badge
- All pre-installed MicroPython examples in BadgerOS are now correctly visible in the Badger W filesystem
