Fast transport. Great stuff. I recommend!

Nice hardware, I miss mounting drives to the case - it's easy to damage SATA ports

Plus: 2 SATA ports, the ability to boot from a microSD card, energy-saving, relatively high performance. Cons: only 1 usb port, no stabilization of discs (3.5 and 2.5) - the drives are located in a few centimeter holes / bays and in no way can they be protected against vibrations, ugly and quite large.

The SATA controller achieves speeds in line with the promised ones - after a gigabit link, a large file copied over the SMB reaches a stable ~ 1Gbps. The built-in fan is very quiet (and certainly quieter than non-operated HDDs). I did not analyze how it is controlled, but basically regardless of the load, the CPU keeps 55-60 * C, so if it is somehow cleverly controlled, it must be focused on silence. The onboard netboot installer configuration with Ubuntu and Debian deserves praise. After starting the computer, enter "netboot_default" and "exit", then just select, for example, "Ubuntu installer" and the Ubuntu installer (Server) will start from the network containing an additional repository with 5.x kernel (5.11 in my case), which seems to be updated up to date. The processor is 64-bit and these are also installed systems (ARM, of course). 3.5 "drives hold steadily. The feet could have a bit thicker rubber, because they do not perfectly isolate vibrations from HDDs, but the HDDs themselves can be loud enough that this is not a problem. If someone expects silence, I would recommend going to the SSD. As a DIY alternative to commercial NAS solutions, I highly recommend it.

HC4 is a great razor! Advanced NAS on OMV, WD Redy, everything - works great! I recommend!

A great device for our home. It consumes about 5W disks at rest and about 13W when working with two 3.5 "disks. Network transfers of 105-115mb / s
