Odroid is a creation of the South Korean brand Hardkernel. It is a series of minicomputers, tablets and accessories for these devices. The name comes from a combination of the words open and Android (the operating system used in the devices), and refers to the "openness" of the designs and devices - only a small part of the hardware is patented or otherwise protected by law, while the rest can be freely modified and improved by users or other companies. In addition to Android, most Odroid devices are also compatible with Linux.
