A particularly interesting material is S-FLEX, offered by the Polish company Spectrum. S-FLEX filaments are designed for printing highly flexible elements. High chemical resistance and excellent adhesion between print layers make them ideal for producing unusual, specialized seals. S-FLEX is resistant to hydrocarbons and various operating fluids. Thanks to the high flexibility of this material, it is possible to 3D print mechanical elements, e.g. mechanical energy absorbers or bumpers. High-strength filament
At the other end of the scale of applications, there is another filament from Spectrum, which, due to its uniqueness, is also included in the "other filaments" category. This is Spectrum CARBON Filament - a filament based on PLA doped with carbon fiber. The fiber content in the mass of the material is as much as 20%, which determines the enormous hardness of the prints obtained with it and their tensile strength. The CARBON filament has all the advantages of classic PLA - including the ability to print without a heated bed, easy separation of the print from the print bed and a low melting temperature. It does not shrink when cooled and offers excellent adhesion between individual layers. With the Spectrum CARBON filament, it is possible to 3D print durable structural elements, such as brackets, handles and connectors. The surface obtained using this filament, unlike classic PLA, is matte.

Filaments are materials used for printing in 3D printers using FFM/FDM technology. They are sold in the form of fibers with a specific cross-section. Each filament is characterized primarily by the fact that it melts easily at a specific temperature (during printing) and then maintains the physical and chemical properties previously specified by the manufacturer.
One of the most important differences between filaments are primarily the physical properties that the material retains after being printed by a 3D printer. They can retain certain elasticity, colors, resistance to damage and many other physical properties. When purchasing, it is worth paying attention to the length of the filament, its thickness and whether it fits your 3D printer (for example, whether it is able to reach the appropriate temperature to print with a given filament).
