The Aeotec Motion Sensor is a compact motion sensor using ZigBee 3.0 (2.4 GHz) technology, designed for building smart home automation systems. It enables real-time motion detection and room temperature measurement . Information is sent to the SmartThings app , where it can trigger automation scenarios or notifications. Thanks to the magnetic ball mount with adjustable angle, the sensor can be precisely positioned in any desired direction. The wide 120° detection angle allows for effective monitoring of hallways, entrances, and living spaces. The device is intended for indoor use.
For proper operation, the sensor requires a compatible ZigBee gateway - it is fully compatible with, among others, the Aeotec Smart Home Hub, Aeotec Z-Stick 10 Pro, Aeotec Zi-Stick, ezlo Plus, Homey Bridge and Homey Pro.

Integration with the SmartThings system

A lack of movement for a specified period can turn off lights , reducing energy consumption. The sensor can also support your security system by triggering an alarm siren or sending a notification of unexpected activity. Temperature measurement allows for additional climate control in your home.
The sensor is designed for SmartThings smart homes and requires a ZigBee gateway to operate.
3M tape for easy sensor installation, and the magnetic attachment of the sensor to the base makes it easy to remove and position.
