The SO-ARM101 Pro Servo Motor Kit allows you to build a system consisting of a leader arm and a follower arm . The operator moves the control arm, and the actuator arm replicates the movements, allowing you to record demonstrations needed for training robotic models. The SO-ARM101's design has been optimized compared to the SO-ARM100. Improved cable routing reduces the risk of disconnection at the third joint and maintains range of motion, while the leader arm's variable servo ratios eliminate the need for external gears. The project is compatible with the LeRobot ecosystem, which includes tools for teleoperation, calibration, dataset storage, model training, and implementation on a live robot.

The kit enables the construction of leader and follower arms, which are used to collect data and train AI models using the learning-by-imitation method.

SO-ARM101 Pro arm cooperation with reComputer
The kit can be paired with the reComputer Mini J4012 with a Jetson Orin NX 16GB module , which can perform local data processing, train selected models, and control the robot without the need for an external cloud. The combination of the SO-ARM101 arm, the LeRobot platform, and the reComputer computer creates an environment designed for AI robotics learning, research, and automation testing . Software requirements depend on the LeRobot environment version and the operating system installed on the Jetson platform.

The SO-ARM101 utilizes a redesigned cable routing system that reduces the risk of cable disconnection and does not restrict the joints' range of motion.
SO-ARM101 Pro components for 3D printing yourself
The SO-ARM101 Pro Servo Motor Kit is a set of electronic and drive components , not a complete, pre-assembled arm. The package does not include printed arm components, joint housings, base, or other mechanical components that make up the arm structure. These must be made on a 3D printer or purchased separately. The manufacturer provides ready-made model files for the leader and follower arms . Example printing parameters include PLA+ material, a 0.4mm nozzle with a 0.2mm layer thickness, or a 0.6mm nozzle with a 0.4mm layer thickness, and a 15% infill. Before beginning assembly, verify the variant of the downloaded models and ensure they are suitable for the SO-ARM101 design.
