Product description: SparkFun Level Shifter - bidirectional logic level converter - 8-channel - TXS01018E - SparkFun BOB-19626
SparkFun Level Shifter is an 8-channel , bidirectional logic level translator equipped with the TXS0108E chip from Texas Instruments . It allows you to switch logic (communication) between devices that work with various typical voltages such as 1.8 V, 3.3 V and 5 V. It lowers 5 volts to 3.3 volts and raises 3.3 volts to 5 volts at the same time. This feature is useful for bi-directional communication protocols such as SPI. SparkFun Level Shifter transmits data between ports at a maximum speed of 110 Mbps (Push-Pull) or 1.2 Mbps (Open-Drain), which makes it suitable for use with SparkFun RedBoard Plus microcontrollers without losing data transmission speed. Accepts a supply voltage range of 1.4 V to 3.6 V at port A and d 1.65 V to 5.5 V at port B (VCC_A ≤ VCC_B).

How to connect a voltage converter?
The converter is easy to use, and for correct operation it is enough to connect the power supply of two devices that will be converted. Higher voltage (e.g. 5V) should be connected to the VCC_B pin, lower voltage (from 1.4V to 3.6V) to VCC_A. The masses are connected to the terminals marked with the GND symbol. Logical signals should be lead to the appropriate connectors Bx - higher voltages and accordingly Ax - lower voltages.
