Thanks to the 1:10 gear ratio and built-in accelerometer , the extruder precisely feeds the filament, which improves the quality of prints. What's more, the lack of the need to print a full cleaning tower significantly reduces the amount of waste and leftover material.
Multi-material printing
Prusa XL features five independent print heads , allowing you to use different materials in one project, such as TPU or carbon fiber-reinforced filaments. The Spool Join function automatically starts taking filament from the next spool when it runs out, ensuring uninterrupted work. This solution is ideal for using up leftover materials and for large, multi-material projects. The printer supports up to five 2 kg filament spools , which allows you to print objects weighing up to 10 kg without having to interfere with the process. Additionally, Prusa XL supports a wide range of filaments , making it extremely versatile.
