Printing without wasting material
Traditional single- extruder printers require nozzle cleaning after every color or material change, which generates large amounts of waste, up to four times the weight of the printed object. Prusa XL is designed to enable efficient multi-material printing without filament waste . Typically, a small cleaning tower is used to stabilize the pressure in the nozzle, but with properly dried filaments and an infill cleaning function , the printer allows printing without generating filament waste.
Combining materials in one print
With independent tool heads , you can easily use different materials and combine them in one print . You can combine Flex with PETG, and use PLA to print easily removable supports.
