Additionally, the extruder eliminates the need to print full cleaning towers , which allows to significantly reduce the amount of filament waste.
Multi-material printing
Prusa XL has two heads , but can be expanded to support five independent heads . It allows you to print different materials in one project simultaneously, such as TPU or carbon fiber-reinforced filaments. Thanks to the Spool Join function, the printer automatically starts taking filament from the next spool when one runs out, ensuring continuous work. This practical solution is ideal for both using leftover materials and implementing large projects. The printer is compatible with a variety of filaments , which increases its versatility.
