Thanks to the development of modern electronic motor drivers bezszczotkowych have many additional features designed a complex system this type of engines. They have many advantages such as high torque, independent of current speed, engine speed, and a high ratio of power-to-weight. Unfortunately, their control is very difficult. Don't just connect the current to set them in motion. Fortunately, our store presents a wide range of drivers of these engines, which facilitate their use in all projects.

Drivers for modern BLDC motors
A brushless DC electric motor (BLDC motor), also known as an electronically commutated motor or a synchronous DC motor, are synchronous motors powered by direct current via an inverter or switching power supply.
The latter is a special brushless motor controller that generates AC electricity to control each phase of the motor using a closed-loop feedback system. This controller delivers pulses of current to the motor windings, controlling the speed and torque of the motor.
Advantages of brushless motors
The advantages of a brushless motor over brushed motors are mainly the high ratio of motor power to its weight, high speed and the possibility of electronic control using a brushless motor controller.
Thanks to this, BLDC motors have high torque, which is independent of revolutions. Conventional brush-commutated DC motors only achieve their nominal torque at full speed.
BLDC motors are an ideal source of drive in devices such as computer peripherals (disk drives, printers), hand-held power tools and all types of vehicles, from electric aircraft models (mainly drones and quadrocopters) to electric cars. Due to its properties, the application of the BLDC motor is extremely wide.
Thanks to the use of dedicated controllers (such as BLDC controller), which commutate phases on individual motor windings, it is possible to use very advanced motor control algorithms.
Complex control of brushless motors
Since brushless motor controllers are intended to replace traditional brushed motors, they need information about the position of the rotor in relation to the stator coils.
Some designs use Hall sensors or a rotary encoder to directly measure the rotor position. Others measure the strength of back EMF in unpowered motor windings to determine rotor position, eliminating the need for separate Hall effect sensors. Due to this fact, they are often called sensorless controllers. Additionally, we encourage you to check out the entire range of the electronics section, where you can find, among others: DC motor controllers , motor and servo controllers , linear actuator controllers and many others.
Modeling use of BLDC motors and dedicated controllers
Brushless motors are popular in flying models and drones. A favorable power-to-weight ratio and a wide range of available sizes have revolutionized the market of electric models, almost replacing other engines. They also encouraged the development of simple, lightweight electric aircraft models.
The increased power-to-weight ratio of modern batteries and brushless motors allows the models to climb vertically, rather than gradually climbing. Brushless motor controllers available on the market often have additional functions dedicated to integration with the flying model, such as an interface to the radio control system. Brushless motor controllers - FAQ
BLDC controllers, i.e. controllers for brushless DC electric motors, are necessary to manage the operation of BLDC motors. Depending on the specific model, BLDC controllers offer different methods of obtaining information regarding the location of the rotor in relation to the stator coil. Some controllers use a rotary encoder, others use a Hall sensor. Still other BLDC controllers perform back EMF measurements to determine exactly where the rotor is located.
The key factor influencing the selection of the sensor is the voltage, or more precisely the supply voltage range. In addition, attention should be paid to the continuous current and maximum instantaneous current. When choosing a specific BLDC controller, it is also worth taking into account programmable operating modes, dimensions of the controller itself, software and type of pins. Other factors influencing the selection of a specific BLDC controller model (brushless DC electric motor controller) are additional functions. Particularly noteworthy are controllers equipped with an interface designed for radio control. Devices of this type are often used in modeling.
