Four touch-sensitive panels allow for efficient activation of scenes and automations, as well as control of Z-Wave-enabled devices. The remote recognizes various interaction methods, including touch, hold, and swipe, allowing for assigning even several practical functions to a single panel. The WallMote Quad's slider function can be used, among other things, to smoothly dim and brighten compatible lighting, adjust the mood lighting in the living room, or quickly adjust the conditions in both the workspace and relaxation area. During operation, the device provides clear feedback – it uses vibrations and an integrated color LED indicator to inform the user that the command has been registered. The wireless design, minimalist housing and Z-Wave Plus technology make the remote control not only an extremely practical but also aesthetic addition for smart home users.

The device comes with a wall mount that can be permanently installed to the wall using double-sided adhesive tape. The controller is attached to it with a magnet , allowing for easy removal from the wall and use as a portable controller. In the bedroom, it can be used to activate night mode, turn off the lights, or activate a soft morning light.
