In the assortment of our store you can find Li-Pol batteries characterized by different capacity, current capacity and maximum charging current. Wide selection of cells makes sure that you will match the power source to your project or system.
Thanks to CE and RoHS certificates the Li-Po battery ensures safe use even in case of intensive exploitation.
The anode (+) of batteries made in lithium-polymer technology is made of graphite. In turn, the cathode (-) is produced from lithium compounds.
The Li-Polymer battery, unlike Ni-Cd and Ni-MH cells, does not have a memory effect, thanks to which it is characterized by a much longer service life.
Another distinguishing feature of lithium-polymer cells is a very slow self-discharge process. In practice, this means that even when stored for a long time the cells retain their electrical properties and are ready to work.
To top up the energy in the batteries, only use chargers designed for lithium polymer cells. This guarantees an efficient and above all safe energy supply.
When using batteries made in lithium-polymer technology, it is extremely important not to make the voltage of individual cells too low or too high. In practice, this means maintaining the voltage at a minimum of 3 V and a maximum of 4.2 V. How else can the service life of cells be prolonged?
Manufacturers specify an operating temperature range on the packaging, in the operating instructions or technical documentation. Under no circumstances should this be exceeded. Exposing cells to extreme positive or negative temperatures may end up with their complete destruction.
The Li-Pol battery must also not be exposed to mechanical damage and vibration, because they can also lead to damage.
Another issue is proper storage. Long periods of inactivity of cells that are discharged should be avoided. When planning a longer storage, it is best to charge the battery to about 60% and place it in a dry, cool and shady place.
