HyperPure air filtration in the xTool Air Dryer
The dryer included in the kit plays a crucial role because air compression alone is not sufficient to achieve good results when cutting metal. Air drawn from the environment can contain moisture, oil particles, dust, and rust particles, which reduce cut quality, increase system contamination, and accelerate wear of working parts. Therefore, the kit includes a HyperPure system that prepares the air for work with the xTool MetalFab . The first stage is a sintered nano-PE filter (1 µm) that removes 99% of oil, moisture, and dust. The second stage utilizes borosilicate glass fiber (0.1 µm) with a two-stage Lydall filter, achieving 99.99% efficiency. The final barrier, with an accuracy of 0.01 µm, ensures almost complete air purification (99.999%). Additionally, a dew point maintained between 2°C and 10°C helps maintain dry air, which is crucial for precise metal cutting. In practice, this means better edge quality, less risk of contamination in the system and more stable working conditions.
