The Sunlu FilaDryer E2 is an advanced 3D filament dryer with an annealing function , designed for working with engineering materials. Equipped with a 500W PTC heater , it ensures fast and stable heating, effectively removing moisture from the filament and improving its mechanical properties. The device operates in a wide temperature range from 35°C to 110°C , allowing it to adapt to both standard and demanding technical materials. The E2 model combines the drying and annealing processes in a single, sealed structure with a double insulated chamber , minimizing heat loss and the risk of re-moisturization. The large build chamber allows for the use of spools with maximum dimensions of 250 mm x 153 mm. In practice, this means compatibility with two 1 kg spools, two 2 kg spools, or one 3 kg spool (depending on their design). The dryer works with most standard spools available on the market, but when operating at higher temperatures , the thermal resistance of the spool itself must be taken into account . Annealing is the process of controlled heating of a printed part to a specific temperature and then slowly cooling it . It reduces internal stresses generated during printing and stabilizes the material's structure. This allows models made with engineering filaments to gain greater impact resistance, greater strength, and improved thermal stability . The process is particularly useful for materials such as PA , PC , ASA , ABS-CF , and PA-CF , where durability and operation in demanding conditions are key. For best results, it's best to select annealing temperature and time according to the filament manufacturer's recommendations, as material properties can vary between batches and brands.

Sunlu FilaDryer E2 works with most filaments available on the market - both standard and PLA , PETG , ABS and TPU , as well as engineering materials such as ASA , PC , PA6 , PA12 , PA-CF and PA-GF . The device supports filament diameters of 1.75 mm , 2.85 mm and 3 mm , and the set includes PTFE tubes measuring 4 x 3 mm and lengths of 8 cm (2 pcs.) and 1 m (2 pcs.). The large chamber allows the use of spools with maximum dimensions of 250 mm x 153 mm , which in practice means space for 2 x 1 kg , 2 x 2 kg or 1 x 3 kg spool. The dimensions of the device are 400 x 220 x 307 mm , the chamber dimensions are 372 x 192 x 255 mm , and it weighs 6.1 kg , which facilitates stable positioning on the workstation. When drying at high temperatures , the thermal resistance of the spool itself must be taken into account to avoid its deformation.

Tight construction and insulation - less moisture, more stable parameters
The Sunlu FilaDryer E2's design is engineered to limit the ingress of ambient moisture and maintain a stable chamber temperature. A one-piece silicone plug for the filament outlet and silicone seals in the lid help isolate the chamber from water vapor. A magnetic closing system enhances airtightness and improves heat retention. Dual-chamber, multi-layer insulation in the top, middle, and bottom of the housing enables stable operation at temperatures exceeding 100°C . This allows you to more effectively dry and anneal technical materials, reducing the risk of re-moisturization during operation.
Silicone seals prevent moisture from entering the chamber.
