Humanoid mobility and natural movement in any situation
The Unitree R1 Basic offers 26 degrees of freedom , allowing for smooth and natural full-body movements. Each leg has 6 degrees of freedom, each arm 5 degrees of freedom, and additional joints in the waist and head increase maneuverability. The robot can perform complex movement sequences, rotate its torso, and move stably in space. Its 1230 mm high design and approximately 29 kg weight facilitate its use in classrooms, laboratories, and presentations. Low-inertia PMSM motors ensure rapid response and precise joint control. The Basic Model It does not come with the optional Dexterous Hand, retaining a simpler, more durable design intended for demonstrations, learning, and movement demonstrations.
The design combines natural movement dynamics, extensive perception of the surroundings and intuitive operation.
Each leg has 6 degrees of freedom, each arm has 5 degrees of freedom, and additional joints in the waist and head increase the range of maneuverability.
Artificial intelligence and environmental perception at a new level
The robot utilizes a perception system based on a binocular camera , which provides information on depth and the position of objects in the environment. This allows for more effective spatial orientation, obstacle analysis, and the implementation of tasks requiring environmental awareness . The implemented solutions support the development of projects related to machine vision and autonomous navigation. The platform is designed to work with modern artificial intelligence algorithms and multimodal models that simultaneously process image and sound. This allows for the creation of advanced human-robot interaction scenarios and experimentation with solutions utilizing generative AI. The Basic version does not support advanced Secondary Development , making it particularly attractive to users looking for a ready-to-use robot, rather than a platform requiring extensive system integration.
Natural voice communication and user interaction
An integrated four- microphone array enables precise recording of ambient sound and supports voice commands . A built-in speaker allows for the playback of announcements, system responses, and interactive presentation elements . The combination of image analysis, sound processing, and advanced motion control allows the robot to serve as an interactive technology demonstrator. This solution is ideal for educational events, technology fairs, research laboratories, and demonstrations promoting modern robotics.
The Unitree R1 Basic humanoid robot uses a binocular camera that supports image analysis and spatial orientation.
The robot can receive voice messages, play back responses and participate in programmed communication scenarios.
A powerful computing platform for robotics and AI
At the heart of the robot is an 8-core high-performance processor , responsible for controlling motion systems, processing sensor data, and implementing artificial intelligence algorithms. With sufficient computing power, it can simultaneously perform multiple tasks without compromising performance . The system architecture has been optimized for educational, demonstration, and research applications. The robot provides a compelling platform for exploring topics related to humanoid robotics, machine perception, and intelligent control. The Basic model does not include the additional High-Power Computing Module , available in select development configurations, allowing for a simpler system architecture.
Wireless connectivity, power and convenient operation
The Unitree R1 Basic offers Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, enabling integration with computers, mobile devices, and network infrastructure. The robot supports intelligent OTA updates , allowing new features and fixes to be installed remotely. It is powered by a quick-change lithium battery . Operating time is approximately 1 hour , allowing for educational activities, research tests, and presentations without the need for frequent recharging. A remote control is also included for convenient robot control .
The robot supports WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, so it can communicate with external devices and the manufacturer's application.
The Unitree R1 Basic Crimson Hero is perfect for technical education, robotics labs, AI demonstrations, and modern technology presentations.
