A double-sided spring steel sheet coated with textured PEI , designed for the Prusa CORE One L 3D printer . Powder-coating the surface directly onto the metal makes it highly durable and difficult to damage during everyday use. The distinct texture gives the underside of prints a distinctive look while also helping to conceal minor signs of wear. The sheet is particularly effective when printing with PETG , requiring no glue before printing this material and allowing for easy removal of models once the surface has cooled . This solution is also used by Prusa to print parts of its devices.
Never clean a steel plate with textured PEI using acetone! Contact with acetone causes micro-cracks in the PEI structure, which leads to surface deterioration over time.
