Similar to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, Z-Wave is also a protocol that enables wireless connection. This allows various devices operating in the Z-Wave standard to communicate with each other in a reliable manner without interference at significantly reduced power consumption along with ensuring a high level of security in data encryption. Thanks to wireless communication the problems connected with laying communication cables in a building are eliminated. Z-Wave communication operates in the low frequency range and allows devices to communicate at a distance of up to approx. 150 m. Additionally, thanks to the use of communication technology in a mesh structure, signal transmission is resistant to interference. Devices supporting the Z-Wave protocol can also be modified and extended with further modules. Installation, commissioning and operation of Z-Wave modules is very easy, also for beginners.

Z-Wave - the ideal method of communication when creating smart home projects
