AMS System
Bambu Lab's intelligent AMS system enables multi-material printing. It holds four spools of filament, allowing you to freely experiment with different colors and materials to fully realize your creative vision. It also allows you to print supports from water-soluble or easily breakable filament. The system is equipped with a range of intelligent features, such as filament tangling detection, an airtight seal, a moisture absorber, and RFID technology to identify the filament being used. The RFID reader only works with Bambu Lab spools.
AMS System:
- Compatible with filament weighing 0.5kg to 1kg and wound on spools 50mm to 68mm wide and 197mm to 202mm in diameter. The spool's cardboard construction requires the use of a special adapter to facilitate smooth rotation. You can download the file for printing the adapter on a 3D printer here .
- Supports filaments: PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, PET, PA, PC, PVA, BVOH, PP, POM, HIPS and Bambu PLA-CF / PAHT-CF / PETG-CF
- Does not support filaments: TPE, TPU, wet PVA or BVOH, Bambu PET-CF / TPU 95A and filaments from other brands that contain carbon and glass fibers
