Depending on the specific manufacturer and even the model, the modules are equipped with a variety of microcontrollers. When choosing a particular unit, you should first of all pay attention to performance and additional accessories. The most advanced modules allow for connectivity not only via WiFi in the 802.11 b/g/n standard, but also Bluetooth. In addition, they are equipped with a microSD card reader, GPS and GSM chip.
