The Waveshare USB to RS485 (B) converter is a compact converter designed for connecting RS485 devices to a computer via USB . Original CH343G and SP485EEN chips ensure fast and stable signal conversion, while hardware transmission direction control eliminates the need to manually switch transmit and receive modes. The RS485 interface is connected to a detachable screw-type connector with A+, B-, and GND lines. Three LEDs indicate power and transmitter and receiver activity. A built-in 120Ω terminating resistor, polymer fuse, and extensive protection circuitry enhance the device's reliability in environments exposed to interference, electrostatic discharge, and surges.

Compatibility of the RS485 adapter with operating systems
