The boneIO ESP Cover Mix was created to conveniently manage a smaller number of roller shutters while simultaneously meeting the need to control other electrical devices in modern Smart Home systems. The controller can control up to 8 roller shutters, blinds, or other window coverings , and also offers 16 additional relay outputs for controlling lighting, garage doors, locks, circulation pumps, garden irrigation systems, and other devices with a voltage of 230 V AC and up to 30 V DC and a maximum current of up to 10 A. The outputs for the blinds are connected in pairs, responsible for up and down movement, and a hardware lock prevents the drive from operating in both directions simultaneously. Integration with Home Assistant and the open ESPHome software allows you to create advanced operating scenarios that can be dependent on the time of day, temperature, occupant presence, or sensor signals. The device is equipped with 35 digital inputs 24 V DC , allowing you to connect wall buttons, motion sensors, window contacts, and other control elements. Available communication interfaces, such as Modbus RS485, I2C, 1-Wire, and future-proof CAN , increase the system's expandability with additional sensors, measurement modules, ventilation, air conditioning, and photovoltaic systems. Local operation of the controller allows for complete control of automation and data without the need for cloud services. Thanks to its DIN rail mounting, compact 12-DIN housing, and plug-in connectors, the boneIO ESP Cover Mix is an ideal central element of an extensive system , combining the control of blinds, lighting, and other electrical devices in a single, streamlined module.

The device offers outputs suitable for controlling roller shutters, blinds, or awnings, while additional relay outputs can be used to control lighting, locks, pumps, solenoid valves, ventilation, and other electrical devices. The controller can replace several separate modules, streamlining the electrical distribution board and facilitating future system expansion. In practice, users can create automations that involve, for example, lowering roller shutters after dark while simultaneously turning on outdoor lighting in front of the house. Upon detecting movement in the driveway, the controller can activate lamps, open a gate, or send a signal to the alarm system. In the garden, additional outputs can control irrigation solenoid valves, and in utility rooms, a circulation pump, fan, or other scheduled device.
