The filament sensor board for the Centauri Carbon 2 3D printer is mounted at the filament inlet to the print head assembly. Its function is to detect the presence of material and transmit a signal to the printer's control system . If the spool runs out or the filament breaks, the system can pause model production, reducing the risk of so-called "empty printing," during which the print head continues to move without depositing subsequent layers. The module is a replacement part useful in the event of damage to the sensor , its connectors, or incorrect material shortage messages. The board is mounted inside the print head housing and connects to the printer system via two pins. When replacing, pay attention to the spring located behind the module. After installation, the manufacturer recommends checking the filament feed at a nozzle temperature of 220°C and re-leveling the printer.
