U1 main board: motion and heating control
The Main Control Board is the original mainboard of the Snapmaker U1 3D printer. It controls all motion components of the printer and handles the temperature regulation of the printer. The board has a heatsink and comes with four mounting screws.
The board sits on the right inner panel of the printer. The replacement takes about 20 minutes and needs only an H2.0 hex key, and the manufacturer rates it as moderately difficult.

Where is the main board in the printer?
The main board is mounted on the right inner panel of the Snapmaker U1. To reach it, you remove the top cover and the right panel of the printer, as described in the manufacturer's replacement guide.
Do I need to configure anything after replacing the board?
Yes. The manufacturer recommends saving the extruder_config.json and homing_calibrated_origin.json files before the replacement and uploading them again via Fluidd afterwards. This keeps the toolhead swapping coordinates from the previous board.
