The Toolhead PCB is the electronics board inside the Snapmaker U1 toolhead. It passes on the signals from the main board and controls the temperature sensor and the fan. It has integrated pogo pins, spring-loaded contacts that connect the toolhead to the printer at every automatic swap.
The manufacturer states that one set of pogo pins is rated for 250,000 toolhead swaps, and you get new pins together with a new board. Each of the four U1 toolheads has its own board, and the replacement takes about 15 minutes.

Frequently asked questions
Which cables connect to the toolhead PCB?
You connect six toolhead cables to the board: the extruder motor, the filament detection sensor, the calibration sensor, the fan, the ceramic heater and the thermistor. The manufacturer's guide shows a wiring diagram with the wire colours.
How do I check that the new board works?
After you switch on the printer, the indicator light on the toolhead PCB should turn on. The manufacturer also recommends checking that the printer recognises the toolhead and that the toolhead heats and prints correctly.
