Strain gauge sensor board for the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 3D printer
The strain gauge PCB is a component of the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 3D printer's automatic leveling system. The module collects signals from four pressure sensors located under the print bed , processes them, and transmits them to the motherboard. It allows for measuring the nozzle-platform contact force, creating a leveling grid, and automatically determining the Z-offset.

The board serves as the central measurement module of the bed leveling system. When the nozzle touches the platform, four strain gauge sensors register small pressure changes. The board converts the corresponding analog signals into data readable by the printer's motherboard . This allows the printer to measure at 121 points, map the bed surface, and automatically determine the nozzle-to-platform distance. The module is designed to repair the leveling system in the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 printer . Its damage or a problem with the connected sensors can cause errors, incorrect Z-offset, or excessive nozzle pressure on the bed. Before replacing it, it's also worth checking the position of the nozzle cleaning brush, as its misalignment can disrupt the measurement during homing.
