Product description: 3D printer - QIDI Q2C

The QIDI Q2C is a closed 3D printer with CoreXY kinematics, designed for quick and convenient modeling at home, in a workshop, or at a studio. It offers a build volume of 270 x 270 x 256 mm , a hotend that reaches temperatures up to 370°C , and a heated bed that operates at temperatures up to 120°C . The maximum head speed is 600 mm/s and acceleration up to 20,000 mm/s². Automatic leveling with a Load Cell sensor , resonance compensation, a filament end sensor, and a power outage resume function streamline everyday operation. The Q2C is also compatible with the QIDI Box system , allowing the printer to be expanded to support multiple colors and materials.

The chamber is designed with flame-retardant materials to provide better protection.

CoreXY - speed and stability when printing

The QIDI Q2C's mechanics are based on the CoreXY system, featuring a metal motion mechanism that ensures stable head guidance during high-speed printing. The X-axis utilizes a high-hardness linear guide, while 1.5GT belts with increased tooth density help reduce VFA artifacts on model surfaces. The Z-axis is driven by two independent trapezoidal screw motors, supporting uniform platform movement. The Q2C achieves head speeds of up to 600 mm/s and accelerations of up to 20,000 mm/s² , and the Input Shaping function helps reduce the impact of vibration on print quality.

Automatic leveling and accurate first layer

Preparing the QIDI Q2C for printing is streamlined by an automatic leveling system with a Load Cell sensor integrated into the hotend . The measurement is performed by direct contact between the nozzle and the build surface, eliminating the need to consider the offset of a separate measurement probe. This solution helps achieve a correct first layer and reduces the need for manual platform adjustments before printing. The printer also utilizes a double-sided, magnetic PEI plate , which provides a suitable surface for applying subsequent layers and facilitates the removal of finished models.

3D printer - QIDI Q2C

The nozzle acts as a sensor, providing unparalleled first layer accuracy and zero offset.

3D printer - QIDI Q2C

Hotend up to 370°C allows the use of not only standard filaments, but also demanding technical materials.

370°C hotend for standard and technical filaments

QIDI Q2C is equipped with a high-temperature hotend that can operate at temperatures up to 370°C , The aluminum heating bed reaches temperatures up to 120°C . The bimetallic nozzle and double extruder gears made of hardened steel allow for work with even more demanding filaments . The manufacturer supports materials such as PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, TPU, PA, PC, and carbon and glass fiber-reinforced polymers . Unlike the QIDI Q2, the Q2C model does not have active chamber heating , making it a simpler option for users who do not require this feature.

QIDI Q2C expansion with a camera and air filter

The QIDI Q2C allows you to customize the device's equipment to your individual needs. An optional camera allows for remote monitoring of work and the creation of timelapse recordings, but the Q2C lacks the AI-based print error detection feature available in the QIDI Q2. An air filtration system is also optional, so it can be added for workstations requiring additional air purification. This solution limits the basic version's equipment to the most essential printing functions , leaving room for future expansion.

3D printer - QIDI Q2C

The 270 x 270 x 256 mm build volume provides enough space to print larger models and several smaller elements in one job.

3D printer - QIDI Q2C

Q2C is compatible with the optional QIDI Box system, allowing it to be expanded to support multiple colors and materials.

Multi-color printing with optional QIDI Box

The QIDI Q2C is compatible with the QIDI Box system , which expands the printer's capabilities with automatic multi-filament support. Once connected, the module allows for multi-color and multi-material printing and automatic switching between spools during printing. The QIDI Box can also dry filament during printing, and automatic recognition via NFC is available for compatible QIDI materials. The system is not included in the standard Q2C kit .

QIDI Studio and convenient transfer of models to the printer

The manufacturer provides QIDI Studio for model preparation, and the printer can also be used with third-party programs, including OrcaSlicer and PrusaSlicer. The Q2C supports STL, OBJ, 3MF, STEP, and STP formats, ensuring compatibility with popular 3D model formats. 32 GB eMMC memory and USB 2.0 support allow for storing and running jobs locally. 2.4 GHz WiFi, Ethernet, and USB connectivity provide multiple ways to transfer prepared files and manage the device.

3D printer - QIDI Q2C

QIDI Studio is slicer software designed to prepare 3D models for printing and manage the printing process.

3D printer - QIDI Q2C

The printer can be expanded with an optional camera and air filter.

QIDI Q2C vs. Q2 and Q2 Combo - the most important differences

QIDI Q2C It retains the key parameters of the Q2 platform, including a 270 x 270 x 256 mm build volume, CoreXY kinematics, a head speed of up to 600 mm/s, a hotend up to 370°C, and automatic leveling with a Load Cell sensor. Compared to the Q2, however, it is a variant with simpler equipment – it does not have active chamber heating or error detection via an AI camera, and the camera and air filter are optional . The standard Q2 includes these solutions from the factory and additionally offers active chamber heating up to 65°C. The Q2 Combo expands the Q2 equipment with the QIDI Box system, while by choosing the Q2C version, you can opt for the QIDI Box separately or choose the Combo variant.
