The 390 x 390 x 340 mm build volume allows for the production of large parts without having to divide the project into multiple smaller parts. This spacious area can also be used to accommodate multiple models and produce short runs in a single job. The CoreXY mechanism features a metal structure, an X-axis linear guide, steel Y-axis shafts, and 1.5GT 10 mm wide belts for stable head guidance. Closed-loop FOC motors enable movement speeds of up to 800 mm/s and accelerations of up to 30,000 mm/s² , making the Max4 Combo suitable for both rapid prototyping and the production of complex functional parts.

The QIDI Max4 Combo allows you to work with a wide range of materials thanks to a hotend that reaches temperatures up to 370°C, a heating bed up to 120°C , and a chamber that can be actively heated up to 65°C . The direct extruder utilizes dual hardened steel gears and works with a wear-resistant bimetallic nozzle, which is especially important when working with filaments containing fiber additives. The hotend's maximum flow rate of 40 mm³/s supports efficient material feeding during high-speed printing. The manufacturer anticipates using PLA , PETG , ABS , ASA , TPU , PA, PC, PPS-CF, PPA-CF, PA6-CF, PA6-GF , and other technical and composite filaments.

The most important enhancement to the QIDI Max4 Combo version is the included QIDI Box system, which automates filament feeding and switching during printing. It allows for the creation of multi-color and multi-material models, as well as the use of different model and support materials in a single project. The QIDI Box offers filament drying at up to 65°C during printing and an automatic spool switching function, allowing you to continue printing from the next spool after the material runs out. The system can be expanded by connecting up to four QIDI Box modules, allowing you to work with up to 16 materials , significantly increasing the possibilities of creating complex models.

Both variants utilize the same QIDI Max4 platform, offering a build volume of 390 x 390 x 340 mm, a hotend up to 370°C, a bed up to 120°C, a heated chamber up to 65°C , and the same CoreXY design. The standard Max4 is compatible with the QIDI Box, but the module is not included in the standard equipment of this variant and can be purchased as an upgrade. The Max4 Combo is factory-installed with the QIDI Box , providing automatic multi-filament handling, multi-color and multi-material printing, and in-module material drying. The Combo variant is therefore primarily intended for projects that require the functionality of a multi-material system without the need for subsequent upgrades.
