The Aqara Hub M200 is the central management point for an extensive smart home system. The gateway integrates Aqara ZigBee and Thread accessories, as well as third-party Matter devices , enabling their operation in a single installation. The built-in Matter Controller, Thread Border Router, and Matter Bridge allow you to connect devices to popular ecosystems such as Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, SmartThings, and Home Assistant. The hub uses WiFi 6 in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands and can also work over a wired Ethernet network. PoE support allows you to simultaneously transmit data and power the device using a single network cable. The built-in 360° IR transmitter also allows you to control traditional infrared devices, such as air conditioning.

The Aqara Hub M200 is a mid-point between the compact Hub M100 and the more advanced Hub M3. Compared to the M100, it offers dual-band WiFi, PoE, an IR transmitter, a speaker, and twice the number of ZigBee and Thread devices supported . The Hub M3 remains a solution intended for the largest installations, while the M200 is well-suited for complex home systems requiring extensive protocol support and local automation.
Thanks to Matter and Thread support, the gateway can be used to expand installations with products from other manufacturers, without being limited to a single ecosystem.
