Each sensor can be broken out and used as a separate element of the Grove system.
Beginner's kit
In the Grove beginner's kit, all components are located on a single printed circuit board and interconnected via traces . The ATmega320P microcontroller module simply needs to be connected to a computer to program individual sensors. The manufacturer also provides the option of removing the sensors and control module and connecting them via Grove cables .
The manufacturer provides a detailed user guide and software . |
Demo mode
The kit comes with a pre-programmed Plug & Play demo mode . It allows you to easily familiarize yourself with the operation of individual sensors. Simply connect the power source and use the potentiometer knob to switch between sensors, monitoring their performance.
The kit is used in the Biomaker program run by the University of Cambridge and OpenPlant , for which they create tutorials in the visual programming language XOD.
Sensor programming using the example of an LED diode
Individual sensors are programmed in the Arduino IDE . The manufacturer's user manual describes the Seeeduino Lotus configuration process and provides ready-made code for controlling individual sensors.
Geppetto Compatibility
The Seeeduino sensor kit can be used with the Geppetto editor. It's designed for designing your own circuits using available modules. Using the included library, you can easily create your own schematics without any advanced electronics knowledge.
