The ALINX AN831 is an expansion module based on the WM8731 stereo audio codec . The system performs analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog audio signal processing, allowing the module to be used for both audio acquisition and playback . The board includes connectors for connecting a microphone, an external audio source, and headphones or other audio receiver . The module communicates with a compatible development board via a 40-pin connector. The codec is configured via an I2C bus, while digital audio data is transmitted using dedicated clock and data signals. The AN831 is suitable for developing audio recorders, audio players, voice communication systems, and digital signal processing projects implemented on FPGAs and SoCs.
