Impact-resistant Impact65 resin
Prusament Resin Impact65 Black is a black 405 nm UV resin with an Izod impact strength of 65 kJ/m² for printing tough, partially flexible parts on MSLA printers. A tensile strength of 25 MPa and an elongation of 30 % are comparable to many popular thermoplastics.
Thin parts made from Impact65 bend instead of breaking, and once fully cured the print keeps its mechanical properties without any further change. As long as the model is not exposed to high temperatures, it is also suitable for some long-term outdoor applications.
- A low viscosity of 245 mPa·s helps fast and reliable printing
- Washing for 10 minutes in isopropyl alcohol, curing for 30 min to 60 min

The name comes from a test result
The number 65 in Impact65 comes from its Izod impact strength of 65 kJ/m². In the bending test according to ISO 178, the samples of this resin did not break at all.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use Impact65 prints outdoors?
Yes, in some applications. The manufacturer states that a print not exposed to high temperatures should withstand long-term exposure to UV radiation, moisture and cold.
How do I wash and cure Impact65?
Wash the model for 10 minutes in isopropyl alcohol with a concentration above 90 %, then cure it for at least 30 minutes, ideally 60. The manufacturer describes this process using the Original Prusa CW1S as an example.
Impact65 vs Model+: what differs?
Model+ is stiffer and harder, with 86 Shore D and a tensile strength of 47.4 MPa. Impact65 has 72 Shore D, but an elongation of 30 % and a Charpy impact strength of 79 kJ/m², so it copes better with bending and impacts.
